Car Shipping from Dubai and the UAE by container or RoRo, paperwork handled
Moving abroad and taking your car, or sending a vehicle to a buyer? We handle the export paperwork, secure loading and shipping, and coordinate import at the destination.
How do you ship a car from Dubai to another country?
A car is shipped from the UAE either in a container (sealed and more protected, and several cars can share one) or on a roll-on roll-off (RoRo) vessel, where it is driven on and off. We collect the car, prepare the UAE export documents, book the sailing and coordinate import clearance and delivery abroad. Many countries restrict imported used vehicles, so check the import rules before shipping. The price depends on the vehicle size, method and destination.
About the service
Shipping Your Car Abroad Without the Guesswork
Shipping a car is more than moving a heavy object. The vehicle has to be cleared for export in the UAE, loaded safely, shipped, cleared at the destination and often modified or inspected to meet local road rules. Mistakes at any stage can be expensive.
We handle the UAE side and coordinate the rest. The important thing to check first is whether the destination allows the vehicle in at all. Some countries ban or restrict used imports, apply age or emissions limits, or charge high duty. We help you check before you commit.
This page explains the two shipping methods, what is needed, what to prepare and what to watch out for. If you would rather skip the reading, send the make, model, year and destination on WhatsApp.
Share the make, model, year, condition and destination. We check the import rules with you.

The detail
Before You Ship Your Car: What to Check
Check the destination's rules first. Many countries restrict used car imports by age, emissions, safety standards or steering side, and some charge duty and tax that can add a large amount to the car's value. Some allow a duty relief for a car you owned and used abroad if you are moving your residence, and the conditions differ.
Prepare the car as well. Remove personal items unless the shipping method allows them, note existing damage and take dated photos, and keep fuel low. A car that is not clean may be inspected or cleaned at your cost on arrival in countries with strict biosecurity rules.

What is the difference between container and RoRo shipping?
In container shipping the car is secured and sealed inside a container, giving more protection, and some countries allow personal items in the same container. In RoRo the car is driven on to a vessel, which is often cheaper for a single car but offers less protection and usually no personal items.
How much does it cost to ship a car from Dubai?
It depends on the size of the car, the method, the destination and the customs charges there. We quote each vehicle individually with the freight, handling and extras itemised.
How long does car shipping take?
Typically about 30 to 40 days by sea depending on the route, plus time for paperwork and import clearance. We confirm dates when you book.
Can I ship a car that is under finance?
Usually you need a no-objection letter from the bank, and some banks do not allow export. Check with your bank first.
Can I put personal items in the car?
Often not with RoRo. In a container, some countries allow it, but it can affect duty relief and inspection. Tell us what you plan and we confirm the rules.
Will I pay duty and tax when the car arrives?
In many countries, yes, unless you qualify for a relief for a car you owned and used abroad when moving your residence. The rules and rates vary widely, so we check them with you before you ship.
Can I ship a car to any country?
No. Some countries restrict or ban used car imports, or apply age, emissions or safety rules. We help you check before you commit.
Do you collect the car from my home?
Yes. We collect from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and other areas of the UAE.
Is insurance included?
Basic carrier liability is limited, so we recommend transit insurance for any car. We arrange it through AIG and include it in your quote.
